The pier Chris Marker
The Jetty is an experimental film of science fiction by Chris Marker, released in 1962 and lasting 28 minutes. The film, considered a masterpiece by many critics and filmmakers, is actually a "photo story" or slideshow a montage of photographs in black and white with a single narrator and a soundtrack by Trevor Duncan performed. This gives the story a very strong singular poetic content and is used to represent a face of "reality": the memories that we have a moment of his life are partial, truncated, and when you look at a photo album, the memories come into disorder with "jumps in time."
